As a Bridge Design Intern, you will work closely with our bridge engineering team to support various aspects of bridge design, analysis, and inspection projects. This position offers hands-on experience in bridge engineering, structural analysis, drafting, and project coordination. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and evaluation of bridge structures while gaining practical insights into bridge engineering practices.

- Assist in performing structural analysis and calculations for bridge components
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation) to create detailed design drawings, plan sheets, and cross-sections for bridge projects, ensuring compliance with design standards and specifications.
- Participate in the production of construction plans, specifications, and technical documents required for bidding and construction of bridge projects, adhering to project schedules and quality standards.
- Assist in preparing permit applications and supporting documentation required for regulatory approvals, including environmental permits, right-of-way permits, and construction permits.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural engineers, transportation engineers, and project managers, to ensure integration of bridge design elements with other project components.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Civil Engineering
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred but not required.
