Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a Project Engineer to assist with our projects in Indianapolis Indiana!
Key Responsibilities
- Work in conjunction with other licensed engineers assisting with the design and preparation of a variety of commercial, industrial, residential, energy and community projects throughout the Midwest.
- Coordinate with fellow MSG staff across a variety of services sectors including: Surveying, Environmental, Geotechnical, Structural, Traffic, Transportation, MEP, Site Construction, etc.
- Perform and check various design calculations and other various tasks as they relate to preparing a design package, under the supervision of senior engineering staff.
- Prepare front end feasibility documents, due diligence reports and zoning studies, project development, storm water modeling and design, cost estimates and detailed design plans.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- EIT certification in the state of Indiana with the ability to obtain PE certification within 1 to 2 years preferred.
- 3-5 years of practical experience in design and plan preparation for site-civil land development projects (commercial, industrial, residential, energy, community) required.
- Experience with industry design standards and ADA accessible design.
- Understanding of guidelines and specifications.
- Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D grading and pipe networks/profiles is required.
- Proficiency in independent preparation of storm water management design, calculations, and reports is preferred.
- Experience preparing development plans, erosion control, and stormwater management permits/approvals in Indiana is preferred.
- Experience with utility design and coordination is a plus.
- The ability to engage reviewing agencies while preparing technical designs and addressing comments is a critical part of our process.
- The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating and coordinating with review agencies.
