The Manor provides personalized, trauma-focused residential treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns. Nestled in Wisconsin's Kettle Moraine Forest, clients live and receive treatment within a comfortable and confidential setting. As an independently owned facility, The Manor prioritizes clients' clinical needs, offering holistic, personalized treatment plans and private suites—all designed to foster respect, healing, and lasting recovery. The Manor focuses on treating underlying trauma to help individuals gain the skills they need to move forward and heal.
PRIMARY DUTY
This role involves overseeing and supporting clinical operations while ensuring effective and comprehensive client care. The ideal candidate will bring a clinical understanding and background along with an administrative skillset. The Program Director is responsible for ensuring that the highest quality of care is consistently delivered to all clients. They will provide supervision and offer guidance and support to all staff. An ideal candidate is skilled in systems-level operations with an interest in clinical touchpoints and tracking the client experience. Although the role is primarily administrative, an ideal candidate will have an understanding of trauma and its connection to substance use disorders, be clinically minded, and will ensure that programming decisions reinforce the importance of creating a supportive and clinically sensitive treatment environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage daily clinical operations, ensuring smooth program delivery and client engagement.
- Address client and staff concerns.
- Lead group therapy sessions (no individual caseload).
- Develop and improve clinical systems and processes.
- Train and support staff, working with HR for onboarding and ongoing education.
- Review client records, enforce compliance, and implement necessary improvements.
- Handle staff scheduling, including on-call and weekend duties as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Perform additional duties as required.
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS of this position are generally as follows:
- Provide management, guidance, and training of therapists, counselors, and coaches as needed to ensure effective program management.
- Direct involvement in hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions for relevant staff members.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and OTHER REQUIREMENTS an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
- Master’s degree in social work or counseling required.
- Licensure in Wisconsin preferred but not required (LPC or LCSW).
- Preferred four years in a related field, preferably experience and/or training with trauma and substance use disorders.
- Prior experience managing staff and working in a substance abuse/or 12 step program setting strongly preferred.
- A valid driver’s license.
