This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of tasks, from installing basic lighting circuits to troubleshooting advanced CNC controls for multi-axis machining centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on control cabinets
- Test servo motors using a megger
- Rebuild motor starter contactors
- Adjust VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) setpoints to modify motor behavior
- Inspect equipment for hot spots using an infrared camera
- Set up CNC linear measurement hardware
- Test I/O cards within PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems
- Install and adjust limit switches and proximity switches
- Run conduit and pull wiring for solenoid valves
- Size conduit and wiring for 480V power disconnects
- Troubleshoot and maintain welding power supplies
- Calibrate position setpoints for machine tools
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to address engineering and design-related inquiries
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pennsylvania-accredited Mechatronics Journeyman certification
- Hands-on experience with PLC systems
- Strong ability to interpret electrical schematics
- Comfortable working at heights
- Ability to pass math and writing assessments
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
This role involves physical activity typical of a manufacturing environment. The following are required:
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Frequent use of hands and arms to lift, reach, and perform tasks
- Stooping, crouching, and occasional ladder climbing
- Visual acuity for close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 70 pounds
