WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Reporting to the VP Operations, your role as Pre-Press Production Artist will be responsible for designing, creating and overseeing art projects for a variety of clients across print and wide format signage. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include working with existing art files, making design edits with accuracy and speed as well as producing files from templates and/or original artwork. Creating renderings on behalf of our sign department with an understanding of how to scale artwork for manipulation and output as well as pre-pressing files for both print and signs is a must. Applicants may be asked to submit a portfolio of work to be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work closely with Account Mangers/CSR’s to gain understanding of customer’s expectations and file requirements.
- Manage multiple jobs in various production stages utilizing job tracking system.
- Image sourcing: locate stock photos, understand copyright laws, understand facility capabilities; understand resolution options and enlargement sizes.
- Create and distribute electronic proofs and color proofs for review.
- Perform self-checks and proofread work by other team members in accordance to operating procedures prior to releasing artwork.
- Participate in creation and updating of department work instructions.
- Maintain organization on servers and job folders.
- Prepare final files to correct specifications for various print and sign formats.
- Reformat supplied artwork and photos to final project specifications.
- Retouch, clip paths and make adjustments to image files.
- Work with brand standards and guidelines.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud required.
- Previous pre-press and wide-format sign experience preferred.
- Customer and quality focused, ability to work well in a team setting, deadline oriented.
