What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cafe Associate position at The Market at Grelen?
We are seeking individuals who are flexible, organized, professional, trustworthy, and have a positive attitude while working well with others. Associates greet guests with an upbeat attitude, ring up cafe sales, organize and restock supplies/beverages, serve guests and clear tables, keep the café/shop clean, & work special events as needed. Experience in customer service or in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required. Associates must familiarize themselves with the café food & beverage menus; beer, cider, & wine knowledge is a plus. Compensation based on experience. When starting pay is $12 tips, the pay averages closer to $18/hour.
Weekend availability essential. Must be able to lift 30-50 pounds. This is a very physical position and one can expect to be on his/her feet for long periods of time.
As a casual café, garden shop, nursery, pyo farm & event venue and growing venture, there is room for growth within the company.
