Part-Time Homeschool Educator

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods

Knowledge of curriculum development principles and early childhood education standards

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Job Expectations

• Plan and implement an early childhood curriculum where the child can develop cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills
• Provide activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem solving
• Patience, flexibility and love for children
• Create fun and engaging daily learning curriculum
• Prefer the Montessori methods to encourage independent learning and exploration, but open to other researched backed learning methods*

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or similar from regionally accredited university.
• At least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
• Must obtain and maintain current adult, child & infant CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Must have access to reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a private home setting and/or with a single child preferred
• Any academic and/or professional early childhood education certifications, preferred.

Other Important Information:

Job Type: Part-time, Tuesdays & Thursdays ONLY; 1:00PM – 6:00PM

Pay: $20 - $30/hr, depending on experience and education

Successful candidate must pass a comprehensive pre-employment criminal background check.

Graduate Students and retired educators are encouraged to apply
