POSITION SCOPE :
The Mary Campbell Center (MCC) is a home to sixty-eight residents where every day we discover, grow, and celebrate abilities. The Donor Relations Coordinator is responsible for supporting and assisting the Vice President of Advancement in managing fundraising with a variety of constituencies, including but not limited to legislators and government agencies, the local community, MCC families, donors, and friends. This position is responsible for maintaining integrity and data that is used in our donor management software platform. The Donor Relations Coordinator is charged with championing the Guiding Principles and mission of The Center in a manner which fosters an environment where MCC residents live with respect, personal dignity and independence to the fullness of their abilities. The Donor Relations Coordinator must be a positive role model who works effectively, efficiently, and with respect for residents, respites, Board of Directors, staff, families, volunteers, vendors, professional consultants and the physical environment of The Center.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
The Donor Relations Coordinator at The Mary Campbell Center must 1) be a good person of high character who demonstrates compassion and understanding, consistently works with a positive attitude and advocates effectively on behalf of residents who have varying degrees of disabilities; 2) 3- 5 years' experience database management, funding raising experience, event planning and operating social events; grant writing experience is a plus; 3) demonstrate ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing; sophisticated knowledge and use of all social media platforms for marketing and special events. 4) be an innovative self-starter with an outgoing personality who works well alone or as part of a team; and 5) communication technology and database management skills, including Microsoft Office, with an emphasis in Word, Excel, Photoshop, Donor Perfect, Adobe and 6) be available to work a flexible schedule. This position does require some evening and weekend hours as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Provide assistance in all aspects of donor relations and all aspects of the Advancement office. Key work components include :
- Assess and implement technology-based solutions for fundraising, marketing, and communications.
- Maintain MCC donor database integrity and quality, including routine data improvement, data auditing, security and code value management, system checks and database functions.
- Import and export data from various sources including manual entry; all processing and acknowledging of gifts, batch entry and donation coding.
- Review monthly reports for accurate reconciliation with Vice President of Advancement and Business Office, as needed.
- Serves as coordinator of MCC special events, including, Charmie Welch Golf Tournament and other events as scheduled.
- Add all contributions to the Donation Log and send monthly summary to Business Office, acknowledge all gifts monthly; report all memorial gifts to family monthly.
- Maintain all MCC photos digitally in a yearly archive.
- Prepare solicitation materials for Staff Appreciation Fund and Annual Fund. Record all contributions and send acknowledgements.
- Create an operational dashboard for quarterly reporting for the Advancement Committee; assist in developing material for quarterly board meetings.
- Philanthropic Engagement - assist with in-house tours for visitors, donors and prospects.
- Provides administrative and organizational support to the Vice President of Advancement as needed.
- Completes all mandatory in-services and attends staff meetings as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
