What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager On Duty - Seasonal position at The Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission?
This position pays at a rate of $18.75/hour dependent upon experience.
- Provide a wide variety of technical support to Managers. Create, review, and submit computer documents and paperwork for approval and processing;
- Create, submit, and monitor new facility programs;
- Become efficient with RecTrac software and be able to assist staff and patrons as needed with rentals, activity reports, etc.;
- Assist in the monitoring of facility staff including Customer Service Representatives, Teen Coordinators, and various contractors;
- Monitor gymnasium, fitness room, and multipurpose room as needed to ensure proper usage and safety;
- Manager on Duty must consistently display a positive attitude and remain knowledgeable of all facility activities and procedures; greet customers, answer phone calls in a timely manner and transfer all calls to the appropriate staff;
- Communicate with manager any concerns and/or needs of the office and its equipment;
- Supervise and provide assistance to designated personnel. Counsel staff on ways to improve performance;
- Open and/or close the facility as required and completing all security procedures;
- Ability to understand and carry out verbal and/or written instructions efficiently and effectively. This will include the ability to complete daily reports;
- Effectively resolve any/all customer service issues in a timely manner consistent with M-NCPPC policy;
- Ideal candidates must be able to quickly and professionally diffuse escalating situations and safely bring satisfactory resolution.
