The Prince George’s County Department of Parks and Recreation, Park Permits Office, is currently seeking seasonal/intermittent applicants to fill Permit and Information Technician positions. Ideal candidates are patient, detail-oriented self-starters with an upbeat manner and positive attitude. They are highly motivated and thorough individual that provide advanced customer service, with problem solving skills and organization.
Permit and Information Technicians are responsible for assisting internal and external customers with permit-related services: processing reservations, assisting customers with the selection of appropriate rental facilities, incident intake/documentation, and making recommendations, as needed. Must be able to demonstrate superb written and verbal communication skills.This position pays at a rate of $15.25/hour to $23.64/hour depending on experience.
This is a part-time position with a schedule of up to 30 hours per week, Monday-Sunday, with a focus on weekend/on-call support.
Provides information and makes reservations for both internal and external customers.
Respond to emails, calls, and in person customer inquiries regarding knowledge of Parks and permitting services.
Conducts incident logging and providing solutions when appropriate.
A high school diploma or a Certificate of General Educational Development (GED).
Two years of experience in administrative and clerical support work or customer service.
This position is Seasonal (part-time) and does not include a benefits package. Required weekends shifts and occasional early mornings, evenings.
A complete background investigation will be completed prior to hire.
May be subject to medical, drug and alcohol testing.
