We’re looking for a Human Resources & Administration Manager to establish and lead our HR function while ensuring that our leadership and administration teams remain aligned, efficient, and fully supported. This is a hands-on leadership role with strategic oversight, where you’ll build and manage HR operations, coach a team of administrative professionals, and foster a strong workplace culture.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Integrator (a member of the executive leadership team), you will lead a team of administrative coordinators and oversee all aspects of Human Resources and Administration, ensuring smooth payroll, benefits, employee relations, and talent management. You will play a key role in bridging leadership with administration, ensuring seamless communication, operational efficiency, and team alignment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Leadership & Strategy
- Establish and oversee HR operations, including policies, SOPs, and best practices.
- Ensure HR compliance with Florida and federal employment laws.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, ensuring HR strategies align with business goals.
Talent Acquisition & Employee Relations
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and keep top talent.
- Serve as a resource for employee relations, conflict resolution, and team development.
- Design and implement structured training and career development programs.
Payroll, Benefits & Compensation Management
- Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, and compensation structures.
- Ensure competitive and compliant employee offerings to support retention and growth.
Administrative Oversight & Team Leadership
- Manage and develop the Admin team, ensuring coordination between operations, sales, and admin staff.
- Keep leadership and administrative teams aligned, facilitating smooth communication and workflow.
- Provide coaching and support to administrative team members to enhance efficiency and performance.
Workplace Culture & Team Development
- Champion a positive workplace culture by promoting open communication, team engagement, and leadership development.
- Implement initiatives to boost morale, teamwork, and company-wide engagement.
- Act as a liaison between leadership and employees to ensure a cohesive, high-performing workplace.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
? Experience: 5 years of HR experience, including payroll, benefits, compensation, and employee relations. 2 years in a leadership role. Experience in service, construction, or landscaping industries is a plus.
? HR & Compliance Expertise: Strong knowledge of Florida employment laws, HR best practices, workforce management, and leadership development.
? Team Leadership & Administration: Experience managing an administrative team, ensuring efficiency, accountability, and strategic alignment with company goals.
? Soft Skills: Confident self-starter, strong communicator, proactive leader, and skilled at team coaching & development.
? Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. SHRM or PHR certification required within 18 months (cost covered by the company with retention agreement).
