The Sanitation Support is responsible for the cleaning of the plants, powerhouse, garage, and grounds. The sanitation specialist maintains a clean and safe work environment in food manufacturing facility.
1st Shift Hours are from approximately 5 : 30am - 9 : 30pm.
3rd Shift Hours are from approximately 9 : 30pm to 5 : 30am.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Clean and sanitize of equipment to include pipes, conveyors, top of storage tanks and other processing support equipment (scales, coolers, freezers, inside storage tanks, etc.) and may work in confined spaces.
- Foam, scrape, and scrub, various parts of powerhouse, plant, and garage
- Complete daily, weekly, monthly and annual sanitation schedules for facility and support equipment.
- Works on sanitation facility / cleaning audit points as assigned.
- Ability to use cleaning chemicals in industrial concentrations including : acids, oxidizers, quat, etc.
- Operate cleaning equipment to complete cleaning tasks as needed : foamers, krivac units, wet vacs, floor scrubbers, and power washers.
- Knowledge in safe and proper chemical use.
- Operates powered and non-powered industrial hand trucks.
- Maintains plant grounds including salting & shoveling in the winter.
- General plant cleaning to include powerhouse, garage, roof air handling units, etc.
- Adheres to all GMP, including sanitary requirements, Safety, and Standardized Work procedures.
