Job Title: Cabinet Maker
We seek a talented and experienced Cabinet Maker to join our millwork team. The Cabinet Maker will encompass the operation of woodworking machines, use of hand tools, prepare interior space measurements, and the ability to read and understand shop drawings.
Duties
- Operation of woodworking machines and use of hand tools to cut, shape, and form wood
- Knowledge of building materials
- Prepare and interpret drawings and blueprints
- Able to custom-build pieces in an efficient manner
- Operate and program 3 and 4-axis CNC equipment, as a part of design software
- Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
- Ensure attention to detail
- Will practice good housekeeping at all times to ensure a safe and non-cluttered worksite
- Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices
- Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may or may not affect
completion of the job to the appropriate person
Qualifications
- 2 years experience in related field
- Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings
- Ability to problem-solve to achieve design intent
- Ability to work within a team or independently as needed
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate to Advanced computer experience in programs such as AutoCAD, Powermill, and additional cabinet-making software.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Extended periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $49.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
Work Location: In person
