What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Host position at The Mather in Tysons?
We’re a multiple award-winning employer with an opening for a full-time Lead Host to ensure that residents and guests have a positive experience within the restaurants.Lead Host greet residents, family members, guests, and/or staff with a friendly demeanor; assist with seating and monitor food service according to dining standards to assure a pleasurable dining experience. The Lead Host creates meaningful moments in the lives of residents, visitors, and staff by demonstrating friendly welcoming behaviors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Greets and welcomes residents and guests with a smile and welcoming
- Assists with seating while maximizing dining room space and facilitates timely
- Oversees quick and efficient reset of
- Manages Reservation system including taking and canceling reservations, managing walk ins and
- Creates meaningful moments in the lives of residents, visitors, and staff by demonstrating welcoming and friendly behaviors.
- Inspects workstation areas for completion of assigned side
- Helps to monitor workflow between service team and production
- Assists with coordination and set up of themed meals and
- Assists with monitoring of safe food handling, proper personal hygiene, uniform compliance, and proper sanitation procedures within the department.
- Assists Residents with online technology including online ordering, online reservations and online meal plan management.
- Identifies areas for improvement, proposes possible solutions, and participates in data collection and process changes as part of the Quality Assurance Process Improvement process.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Required:
- 1 years of experience in a dining service
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and to make independent
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication
- Knowledgeable with technology
- English language proficiency.
Preferred:
- Certification, or ability to obtain certification, in BASSET
