The Opportunity
The Maverick Club is seeking a poised and personable Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our exclusive, members-only club. As the first point of contact for members and their guests, the Receptionist plays a key role in setting the tone for a seamless and sophisticated experience from arrival to departure.
In this position, you will greet and assist members and visitors with professionalism and warmth, providing a high-touch, concierge-style approach that reflects The Maverick Club’s commitment to excellence. You’ll handle food and beverage requests , respond to inquiries, manage daily scheduling, and anticipate member needs with thoughtful, proactive service. Whether it’s offering a personalized recommendation, coordinating a last-minute request, or simply remembering a familiar face, your role is integral to creating a welcoming and elevated club environment.
You’ll collaborate closely with our membership, events, and hospitality teams to ensure every interaction exceeds expectations and supports the overall member experience at The Maverick Club.
As the Receptionist at The Maverick Club, your role will include but is not limited to:
- Providing a warm, professional welcome to members and guests, ensuring a seamless arrival experience
- Accommodating member requests with care and discretion—this includes managing packages, messages, emails, and mail distribution
- Assisting with front-of-house operations, including light concierge and administrative support
- Assisting with lunch orders or arranging private chef services
- Set-up, serving, cleaning up snacks and meals
- Stocking and inventory of kitchen items, cleaning supplies, paper goods
- Planning and organizing member itineraries and experiences within the Club and local area, offering personal recommendations aligned with member preferences
- Delivering an exceptional, elevated level of service with every interaction—whether in person, over the phone, or via email
- Maintaining in-depth knowledge of Club amenities, scheduled events, and personnel to accurately assist members with inquiries
- Proactively identifying and resolving any member concerns or service issues with professionalism and discretion
- Vendor management – schedule vendors directly or through building management
- Ensuring the front desk and reception area remains polished, welcoming, and efficient at all times
Who We’re Looking For

- Prior experience in a front desk, concierge, or guest services role within a luxury hospitality, private club, or boutique environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a polished, professional demeanor
- Genuine enthusiasm for providing thoughtful, member-first service
- Familiarity with Scottsdale and surrounding areas is a plus
- Comfortable with technology—proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn Club-specific systems
- A team player who is adaptable, proactive, and able to anticipate needs before they arise
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and event hours as needed
- Ability to stand and move throughout the Club for extended periods during shifts
