Overview:
We are looking for motivated and passionate culinary team members to join our dynamic Culinary Department. As a Pantry/Cold Line Cook, you will play a key role in the preparation and execution of cold dishes, ensuring they are prepared to perfection and presented beautifully. Your contributions will directly impact our guest experience, and you will collaborate with a high-energy team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook cold dishes as per the established menu and recipes. This includes items such as salads, cold appetizers, garnishes, and desserts.
- Food Plating and Temperature: Ensure that all food is plated attractively and served at the proper temperature, following food presentation guidelines.
- Portion Control: Adhere to portion control guidelines to maintain consistency, quality, and avoid food waste.
- Storage Compliance: Properly store food products in alignment with safety and sanitation practices (e.g., refrigeration, labeling) to ensure freshness and prevent contamination.
- Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Ensure kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces are sanitized regularly to meet hygiene standards.
- Daily Prep Lists: Create and maintain daily prep and item lists for your station to ensure smooth operation and timely food preparation.
- Team Support: Collaborate with the kitchen team, supporting various stations as needed, to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Operational Support: Assist in completing all kitchen tasks in a timely manner, ensuring all food preparation aligns with operational standards.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as needed to support kitchen operations and maintain the smooth flow of service.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Kitchen Sanitation and Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of food safety regulations, kitchen cleanliness, and sanitation standards. You will ensure the kitchen stays chef-ready at all times, particularly in an open kitchen environment.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Teamwork: Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with kitchen staff and contribute to a positive and cohesive working environment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the kitchen's operational needs.
- Uniform and Hygiene Standards: Adherence to proper uniform standards and hygiene practices, including regular hand washing and glove use.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, carry or lift items weighing between 10-35 lbs, and perform tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
