Description
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for inventory movement and correctness
Duties & Responsibilities:
Workflow:
- Helps to actively manage and controls physical and cycle count inventories, researching and making required adjustments
- Makes inventory procedural change recommendations
- Helps Monitors and maintains replenishment inventory levels in an accurate and timely manner
- Sets up new product locations based on upcoming purchase order receipts
- Performs eyewear frame take-apart adjustments in system
- Schedules and performs inter-site transfer of eyewear cases
- Transfers and physically moves closeout eyewear and cases in the system
- Maintains warranty product
- Receives product from purchase orders
- Promote a safe work environment
- Must be willing to learn other duties as needed
Communication:
- Communicates effectively with various members of the operations team
Skills & Qualifications:
- Can do attitude with the ability to multitask and capable of working extended hours or weekends when needed
- 3 plus years of similar experience managing inventory in a warehouse environment required
- Knowledge of ERP systems with a preference for NetSuite and RF scanning software required
- Extensive knowledge of inventory management principles
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to stand 6-8 hours per day as required to open cartons, count items, and place in storage areas
- Must be willing to work in a climate-controlled warehouse
- Must be willing to wear safety shoes
Physical Requirements:
- The Job requires the ability to stand and walk up to 6-8 hours per day and alternately sit at a desk to use a computer for 2-3 hours per day as needed
- Must be able to lift boxes up to 50lbs
