Warehouse Lead

Description

Job Purpose:

The Warehouse lead is responsible for managing orders, un-loading and putting away containerized material and inventory movement and correctness

Duties & Responsibilities:

Workflow:

• Actively manages and stages customer sales orders for chain clients
• Unloads containers putting away in proper locations
• Helps Monitors and maintains replenishment inventory levels in an accurate and timely manner
• Sets up new product locations based on upcoming purchase order receipts
• Uses shipping software to ship customer orders via Ground and LTL
• Pulls eye wear cases for transfer
• Receives product from purchase orders
• Promotes a safe work environment
• Must be willing to learn other duties as needed

Communication:

• Communicates effectively with various members of the operations team

Skills & Qualifications:

• Can do attitude with the ability to multitask and capable of working extended hours or weekends when needed
• Lead role or similar experience managing inventory in a warehouse environment required
• Knowledge of ERP systems with RF scanning software
• Extensive knowledge of inventory management principles
• Proven ability to drive a Reach Truck (forklift)
• Must have proven knowledge of Ground and LTL carriers and knowledge of shipping software

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to stand 6-8 hours per day as required to open cartons, count items, and place in storage areas
• Must be willing to work in a climate-controlled warehouse
• Must be willing to wear safety shoes

Physical Requirements:

• The Job requires the ability to stand and walk up to 6-8 hours per day and alternately sit at a desk to use a computer for 2-3 hours per day as needed
• Must be able to lift boxes up to 50lbs
