JOB DESCRIPTION:
The McGuire Group seeks a CNA to float between our 5 WNY facilities. CNAs work under the direction of a licensed nurse (RN) to provide daily nursing and personal care to residents and patients by the individual’s plan of care. This position is responsible for tending to residents' physical and emotional needs while ensuring they are comfortable and safe and maintaining good hygiene and personal cleanliness.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist residents with day-to-day tasks
- Work alongside our nurse educator and our nursing staff
- Assisting patients with mobility needs, transferring them from wheelchair to bed
- Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
- Preparing each resident’s room with necessary items like blankets, pillows, medical equipment, and bathroom needs
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 18 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Registered by the New York State Nurse Aide Registry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Able to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness, and kindness
- Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
