Job Description:
As a Graduate Practical Nurse (GPN), you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing care to residents, including assessments, medication administration, and personal care. You will contribute to creating individualized care plans and ensure residents' well-being in a safe and comfortable setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care under the supervision of an RN, including administering medications and treatments.
- Assist with developing and implementing care plans for residents.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising RN.
- Provide personal care to residents, including hygiene, mobility, and feeding assistance.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety protocols.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain up-to-date records.
- Participate in team meetings and support the nursing team to enhance patient care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate Practical Nurse (GPN) license in good standing.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, clinical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under the supervision of an RN and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of patient care protocols and regulatory guidelines.
