Description :
A Lunchroom / Playground Supervisor is responsible for supervising students during lunch in the eating areas and on the playground.
Job Summary :
A person in this position will work approximately 3 hours per day on student attendance days (when students are in school all day). Responsibilities include supervising students, maintaining a safe, orderly lunchroom & encouraging positive, non-threatening environment on the playground. May also be asked to assist in the lunchroom by cleaning tables & other duties as requested or assigned.
Qualifications : Requires :
- High school graduate or equivalent;
- desire to work with students & have an interest in their safety and well-being while having lunch & on the playground;
- ability to make judgments & implement instructions & procedures of discipline with the children;
- ability to be on your feet for an extended period of time & enjoy being outside in the elements during the fall, winter & spring;
- continuous mental & visual attention to monitor areas where many children are present;
- ability to respond to emergency situations calmly, quickly & compassionately.
