General Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative - Fleetcard is responsible for generating leads from various sources such as cold calling, website inquiries and social media platforms, qualifying those leads prior to passing the information to the outside sales team. Additionally, this role will require managing the lead process, assignment of leads and follow up by maintaining a portfolio of prospective customers through CRM and lead nurturing.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform heavy cold calling, outbound calls to prospective customers
- Perform marketing via the telephone to qualify customer leads
- Develop and maintain a portfolio of prospective customers through CRM and lead nurturing
- Establish and maintain customer relationships by introducing new products, selling and upgrading regular products and informing customers of any promotions
- Tracking, assigning, and validating all leads generated across marketing efforts including inbound calls and emails to CX
- Work with the outside sales team to drive revenue and market share
- Research and qualify customer leads using the internet and other tools
- Develop a call structure and ability to prioritize calling strategies
- Achieve or exceed designed new customer call targets by providing coverage via the telephone and other means of electronic communication
- Utilize product knowledge to provide technical assistance to customers and assist them in identifying and qualifying (if necessary) products to meet their needs
- Informs management of sales activity by submitting periodic reports such as call logs, monthly highlights, converted and lost accounts
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Develop and track key performance and sales call reporting on weekly, monthly, yearly basis
- Analyze customer and sales data in order to determine growth opportunities
- Responsible for the completion of any special projects or the assignment of other duties as requested by Management
Position Requirements:
- Four-year degree or two years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong focus on customer business development and proven inside sales experience
- General knowledge of the petroleum distribution industry and products
- Must be detail oriented and well organized
- Solid closing skills with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Excellent telephone skills and ability to establish call rapport and meet call quotas
- Cold calling sales experience
- The petroleum industry is rapidly changing; thus candidates must be comfortable with a fast paced, opportunity filled work environment
- Must possess a level of selling skills and knowledge to schedule highly qualified leads
- Previous CRM and social media platform experience such as Sales Force and LinkedIn.

Working Environment:
The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment. This position requires the ability to work under pressure and communicate with a diverse population including other employees, customers, vendors, etc. This position also requires prolonged periods of sitting in a regular seated position as well as the use of general office equipment including phones, printers, computers, (mouse, keyboard, etc.)
