The School of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Texas State University seeks applicants for a full-time, one-year renewable, non-tenure-track Assistant Professor of Instruction position, to begin Fall 2025. Normal teaching load is 4 undergraduate courses per semester, teaching on the Round Rock campus, Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to perform both university and community service.
The selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check and provide official transcripts from all degree-granting universities. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience. All positions are subject to availability of funds.

Required Qualifications
- ABD or Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or related discipline, and teaching experience at the undergraduate level. A J.D. coupled with a master’s degree in criminal justice (or related) and/or criminal justice experience will also be considered.
- All areas of expertise will be considered.
- Experience teaching a variety of criminal justice courses and evidence of teaching effectiveness.
