The Meadows Psychiatric Center located is Centre Hall, PA is hiring Mental Health Technicians for full-time,part-time & per diem positions, for our various shifts ranging from 8 hrs. to 12 hrs.
All newly hired Mental Health Technicians will participate in our paid classroom and on the job training orientation activities.
The Meadows Psychiatric Center is the leading behavioral health treatment facility in Central Pennsylvania. We are located a short distance outside State College, PA. The Meadows is a 119 inpatient behavioral health hospital providing life-saving, life-changing, and life-sustaining to services children, adolescents, and adults.

Mental Health Technicians (MHTs) are direct patient care providers that deliver nursing care to patients with varying psychiatric, behavioral, and mental health diagnoses, ensuring their safety and continued care.

MHT Responsibilities include:
Mental Health Technicians are direct patient care providers responsible for positive role modeling, crisis intervention, facilitation of group activities and patient safety. Basic care activities such as taking patient vitals are also part of Mental Health Technician responsibilities. Mental Health Techs work within the nursing department under the direction of an RN Charge Nurse and Unit Nurse Manager.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a High School Diploma with patient care experience or customer service experience is required. Bachelor Degree in related field preferred.
Position also requires excellent verbal communication skills; ability to remain calm in dynamic environment; commitment to providing a high level of care to patients of all ages, excellent customer service skills and a reliable & dependable attendance to work profile.
