We are seeking a Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach who will be responsible for various aspects of the Girls Volleyball Program, including recruitment within the school, scheduling opponents (in conjunction with the Athletic Director), training, overseeing the sub varsity teams and program (K-12) and coaching team members. The Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach will be expected to adhere to all NIAA/NFHS rules and regulations, as well as policies set by The Meadows School administration and athletic department. This role has the opportunity to shape a competitive, supportive, and community-driven program while working in a school that values athletics and student growth.
What You'll Do:
As the Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach you are a motivated coach ready to make an impact, by leading and developing the program from Lower to Upper School, creating a strong foundation for student-athletes at every level.
Foster Growth: Beyond the court, you’ll support student-athletes in the college recruitment process, manage game schedules and logistics, and promote the program within the school and community
Set Clear Goals: Run structured, high-energy practices that focus on both individual skill-building and team development, all while fostering a positive, disciplined, and sportsmanlike team culture
Build Community: Building relationships is key—you’ll engage with parents, booster clubs, and school leadership to create a unified vision for volleyball at The Meadows School
Engage in Professional Excellence: Player safety is always a top priority, and you’ll ensure school policies are followed during games, practices, and travel. As a key part of our athletic community, you’ll also participate in school events, banquets, and coaching development programs
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate embodies the roles of both mentor and coach, serving as an inspirational role model who nurtures students within a team culture that values positivity, discipline, and sportsmanship:
- 2-4 years of coaching experience at the High School or Club level, Head coaching preferred
- Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, strategies, and techniques
- Effective coaching, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with players, parents, staff, and officials
