About the Role
A busy Primary Care/Urgent Care/Occupational Medical clinic is seeking a weekend receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive experience while efficiently managing front desk operations.
Hours
- Saturdays: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
AND
- Sundays: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Greet and register patients in a professional, friendly manner
- Verify insurance information and eligibility
- Process patient payments and complete daily balance sheets
- Communicate politely and efficiently with patients, insurance companies, and clients by phone, email, and fax.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive, upbeat attitude and a professional appearance.
- Must have strong organizational abilities and be attentive to details
- Punctuality and reliability are essential
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must have strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Outlook email, excellent writing and typing skills, and ability to learn new check-in and billing software.
- Good working knowledge of medical terminology
- Previous medical office experience and an understanding of public, private, and workers comp insurance are preferred but not mandatory
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
