JOB SUMMARY: In this role, you will help sustain Mennel’s tradition of excellence established in 1886 as well as support our food safety programs and mission to reliably deliver superior quality, uniformity, and service. This position is responsible for all new product set- up and formula changes in all production systems. Including management of specifications review for packaging, ingredient and finished products.
PRIMARY WORK SHIFT: Works shift as assigned and overtime as required. Monday through Friday 7AM– 4PM. Will vary, depending on workload.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow all food and personal safety rules and regulations in respect to GMP’s, OSHA, HACCP, the Global Food Safety Initiative, the US FDA Food Safety Modernization Act as stated in the FS&Q Statement, and sanitation guidelines as set forth by the company as listed in Corporate Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and attend all required training sessions. Maintain the department/facility in an everyday audit ready condition.
• Lead ingredient and finished product allergen management setup and maintenance.
• Create and maintain all specification files for production and finished product lap testing.
• Responsible for ingredient and packaging label declaration verification to ensure accuracy to specification.
• Responsible for setup of all customer Certificate of Analysis and supply chain control COA verifications.
• Serve as the QRO administrative liaison with internal and external customers.
• Oversee document control program and ensure policies, procedures, forms, etc. are up to date and available for retrieval and viewing.
• Responsible for hold order tracking, hold reconciliation, and weekly reporting.
• Manage purchase requisitions for lab/sanitation/breakroom supplies.
• Follow all food safety and human safety policies, including, but not limited to having thorough knowledge of GMP, PPE, regulatory and sanitation requirements.
• Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory duties.
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job.
• A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• A minimum of 1-3 years related work experience preferred.
• Quality and Regulatory knowledge of SAP (or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong Skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Power Point.
• Well spoken, articulate and courteous verbal, written and phone correspondence.
• Must have exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail, ability to work independently and demonstrated leadership qualities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, procedures, and plans. Ability to write, complete checklists and other basic documentation and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information or data in one-on-one and small group situations to co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY: Must use solid judgment when making decisions. Must have ability to quickly recognize and plan for changing work duties and events.

The noise level in the work environment usually requires the use of hearing protection. Work involves exposure to common wheat allergens.
