Job Description :
Seeking energetic, team-oriented counselor for meaningful work with people admitted to our inpatient state-designated receiving facility. We provide short-term crisis stabilization and brief 1 : 1 & group counseling in a milieu setting. This is a 3rd shift (12 am to 8 am) full-time position with a generous benefit package, including opportunities for tuition reimbursement. Some weekends are required. We welcome students who are working towards their master's degree and would like to become involved in a respected organization with flexibility and many paths for advancement. Key Responsibilities :
Provide 1 : 1 counseling in a milieu environment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, skilled group work, family meetings, connecting patients to community resources, and working with internal and external referral sources on admissions and discharge planning.
Requirements
Education : A bachelor's degree in psychology or social work is required.
Experience : At least one year of prior experience working in the human services field is preferred.
Qualifications : Must be available to work some weekends each month and occasional flexibility with shifts. At least one full year working in the mental health field. Preference is given to previous experience working in crisis units / environments. We encourage bilingual candidates to apply.
