What are the responsibilities and job description for the Microsoft D365 Specialist position at The Mentholatum Company?
BASIC PURPOSE
Provide a single point of contact for end users to receive support with the organization’s newly implemented D365 Finance & Operations ERP system (F&O). Work with our IT Service Center Subsidiary (TNM) (a Vietnam company), in all aspects for the implementation, configuration, support, and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions.
Position required to be on-site in Orchard Park NY, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5 pm.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implementation & Configuration:
- Lead and co-source with TNM IT consulting, in the implementation of Dynamics 365 for the remaining Americas region entities, ensuring the system meets business requirements, both functional and technical. Customize and configure D365 modules (e.g., Finance, Operations, Sales, Customer Service, etc.) to match business processes.
- System Optimization & Support:
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for Dynamics 365 to ensure it is operating efficiently. Address user issues and offer solutions to improve the system's performance and user experience. Be the liaison between the Americas region and TNM Vietnam support center.
- Customization & Development:
- Design and work with TNM to implement customizations, workflows, and integrations using Dynamics 365’s configuration tools, and develop custom plugins or integrations as needed using Power Platform, Power Automate, and Azure.
- Training & Documentation:
- Create and deliver training sessions for end-users to ensure smooth adoption of Dynamics 365. Develop and maintain user guides, system documentation, and best practice manuals.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with business analysts, IT teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into D365 solutions that align with business goals.
- Upgrades & Patches:
- Stay updated on new features and upgrades in Dynamics 365, and plan and execute system updates and patches with minimal disruption to business operations, utilizing TNM for regression testing, and related upgrade processes.
QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER INFORMATION
Experience:
- Proven experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementations, configurations, and customizations (preferably across multiple modules).
- Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 modules (e.g., Finance & Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, etc.).
- Experience with Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI) and Azure integration is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Dynamics 365 configuration and customization tools.
- Strong understanding of business processes related to ERP and CRM.
- Experience with data migration tools and techniques, as well as integrations between D365 and other systems.
- Familiarity with SQL, .NET, C#, and JavaScript for customization.
Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Fundamentals or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations or Customer Engagement certifications are a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Team player with a proactive approach to project management and collaboration.
- Three to Ten years of experience in an IT environment.
