Job Summary:
We are looking for Full-Time and Part-Time Retail Associates to join our team at The Merchantile of Scottsdale and Phoenix. This role would be responsible for ensuring a seamless customer experience and supporting the daily operations of both Scottsdale stores. The role includes, but is not limited to, providing excellent customer service, handling vendor support, assisting with merchandising, and creating content for social media. Flexibility to work at all three of our locations as needed or scheduled is required, as well as the ability to work overtime when necessary.
We are also in search of an After Hours Merchandiser that will assist with inventory audits, unpackaging, steaming and hanging apparel/accessories. Merchandising the store, updating table and window displays, miscellaneous tasks and cleaning. This shift would be evenings starting at 5pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers and provide a warm introduction to The Merchantile's concept.
- Assist customers with product recommendations and answering inquiries.
- Help customers in the dressing room area and assist them at checkout.
- Sales & Cash Handling:
- Process customer payments via cash, credit cards, and other methods.
- Maintain professionalism, enthusiasm, and a customer-first attitude.
- Vendor & Inventory Support:
- Communicate with vendors about restocking needs and print product labels when necessary.
- Assist vendors with stocking and organizing their spaces.
- Keep booths, shelves, and displays fully stocked and tidy throughout the day.
- Store Operations:
- Assist with merchandising, restocking supplies, and organizing the store floor.
- Maintain store cleanliness, including tasks like sweeping, mopping, and stocking restrooms.
- Help with in-store events, including pop-ups and special setups such as custom hat-making and permanent jewelry.
- Social Media & Content Creation:
- Create Instagram reels, post content, and participate in social media engagement.
- Confidently record videos for Instagram Live or Facebook, showcasing products.
- Use Canva, Dropbox, and Excel to assist with content creation and organizational tasks.
- Flexibility & Location:
- Must be available to work between both Scottsdale store locations as needed or scheduled.
- Must be available for weekend shifts and occasional overtime.
- Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, reaching, kneeling, and moving.
- Ability to lift and move items over 15lbs, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Basic math and computer skills (Excel, Dropbox).
- Minimum 1 year of customer service or retail experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with social media platforms and Canva.
- Must be able to work weekends, with the flexibility to work overtime.
- Punctuality, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills are essential.
