What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at The Merion Cricket Club?
Merion Cricket Club is looking for housekeepers & locker room attendants. The ideal candidates are individuals who have an energetic personality, a strong work ethic, a passion for offering excellent service and are self-motivated.
Responsibilities
- Dust mopping and damp mopping floors
- Vacuuming carpets and rugs
- Cleaning bathrooms
- Daily cleaning of lobbies, dining areas and all furniture
- Collecting trash from around the clubhouse and proper disposal of the trash in outside dumpsters
- Performing other related duties as assigned or as necessary
- Assisting with banquet function set up
Part-time employees will be eligible to contribute to a 401(k) plan after 6 months and will receive a yearly match and profit sharing contribution from the Club. Full-time employees will also receive health and life insurance benefits, paid time off, and a number of other benefits.
Requirements
- Punctuality
- Reliable transportation
- Frequently walking with some standing at times, possibly extended distances; ability to bend and climb stairs when necessary
- Frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous Housekeeping experience preferred
- Excellent oral communication, listening skills and a team player
- Ability to follow directions
