What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Custodian Worker position at The Methodist Home for Children and Youth?

- The Kitchen Custodian job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Vacuum and shampoo carpet as needed.
- Clean windows in the dining hall area and Rumford Center.
- Wash dishes, pots and pans
- Organize dry storage room, walk-in freezer and cooler.
- Sweep, scrub and mop kitchen floors and loading dock areas.
- Keep all kitchen equipment clean as directed.
- Assist with set up and breakdown of special events.
Education/Work Experience include but is not limited to the following:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to appropriately handle confidential information.
- Ability to understand and consistently implement policies and procedures of the Agency.
- This position requires some heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and stooping.
Required Safety/Background Checks: All applicants considered for hire must consent, and receive clearance from, the following local, state and national agencies:
Bibb County Sheriff's Department
Department of Human Services (fingerprint required)
Motor Vehicle Record (must have a valid license for four consecutive years and applicant/driving record must be approved by our insurance carrier)

Sex Offenders Registry Medicaid Fraud
All employees must also pass a pre-employment physical, ten panel drug screen and TB skin test
