Summary
Administers department-sponsored catering and special events throughout The MetroHealth System. Works closely with managers to coordinate various Food and Nutrition Service needs in support of their department’s functions. Provides administrative support for the Food and Nutrition Services department. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications
Required: Associate’s degree in Business or other related field from an accredited institution, AND 1 year of related experience. In lieu of degree, 3 years of related experience will be considered. Experience coordinating programs and/or services. Demonstrated proficiency with Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), including exposure to complex functions such as creating pivot tables. Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments simultaneously in an efficient and calm manner. Strong business acumen and analytical skills, including performing cost/efficiency analyses and contributing to budget compliance. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and critical-thinking skills. Strong customer service orientation. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including proofreading skills. Access to reliable transportation to travel to all locations within The MetroHealth System based on operational needs. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business or other related field from an accredited institution. Experience in food service, catering, or event management. Experience working in a healthcare environment. Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents. Requires some exposure to warm/cold temperatures, flames, and steam in a kitchen environment.
