Primary Patient Population
- Acutely ill pediatric to adult patients
- Level 1 Trauma Center
- Assisting patients with all aspects of personal hygiene, eating & drinking
- Answering call lights & taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, and other parameters as instructed).
- Performing/transmitting basic ECG and phlebotomy.
- RNs, LPNs, Nurse Interns, Paramedics, Behavioral Observers (BO), Providers.
- 93 beds (Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) included)
- 10 Trauma Bays
- 80k patient visits annually
- Level 1 Trauma Center
- Lantern Award
- Stroke Certified
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
- Ability to work in a team environment while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, initiative, and effectively problem-solving skills.
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Registered in good standing as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Nurse Aide Registry (NOTE: Maintaining ODH Registry status as an STNA is optional after employment in this position).
- 1 year of experience as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant in a hospital.
