What are the responsibilities and job description for the Café Manager position at The Metropolitan Coffee House, Freeport?
The MET at Freeport is expanding our staff. We are looking for Cafe Managers, Baristas, and Baker to join our team members to prepare and serve beverages, pastries, sandwiches and salads. To be successful in this role, you should have exceptional customer service skills and work well in a team. Note: this position’s compensation includes hourly wages. Tips average an additional $5.00 per hour. Ultimately, you’ll ensure an excellent drinking / dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Varies based upon position.
- Assist in overall operation of the Cafe
- Prepare beverages following recipes
- Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries and muffins
- Comply with health and safety regulations
Skills

- High school diploma; relevant training is a plus

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
