Lumber Forklift Operator

Hours are 6:00 AM- 2:30 PM

HOURLY RATE $18.00 TO $22.00 PER HOUR

We seek a skilled Lumbar Forklift Operator to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience picking, packing, and staging building material orders and operating forklifts capable of lifting up to 75 pounds. This role is crucial in ensuring the' smooth and secure movement of materials throughout our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport lumber and other materials within the facility.
• Inspect and maintain forklifts and other loading equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Organize and manage storage spaces by accurately stacking and arranging lumber.
• Work collaboratively with team members to optimize workflow and ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Follow company safety standards and comply with OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Perform routine heavy lumber lifting to 75 pounds using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Participate in inventory management and ensure accurate record-keeping of materials handled.
• Promptly report any safety concerns or equipment issues to the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a forklift operator, focusing on handling heavy lumber.
• Valid forklift certification/license preferred.
• Ability to safely lift and maneuver lumber up to 75 pounds.
• Familiarity with lumber materials and handling procedures is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
