The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in designing harness systems, conducting engineering analyses, and engaging with suppliers. They will also be proficient in using software tools like Dassault 3D Experience.
**Responsibilities:**
- Design and develop harness systems.
- Conduct engineering analyses to ensure components meet specifications.
- Engage with suppliers to achieve cost-effective solutions.
- Travel to vehicle builds and supplier locations as needed.
- Collaborate with validation engineers to establish test plans.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in harness design.
- Proven experience in designing brackets, snap-fits, living hinges, and both plastic and metal fasteners.
- Ability to perform stress, torque, and tolerance analyses through hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Proficient in Dassault 3D Experience for geometric surface and part design.
