Key Responsibilities :
- Design and develop advanced mechanisms for automotive interior components to enhance functionality and user experience while aligning with our design philosophy.
- Innovate new mechanisms to improve usability and maximize interior space efficiency.
- Integrate mechanical systems with electrical and electronic components to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Create user-interface mechanisms that meet top-tier haptic requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in mechanisms, providing guidance to other engineers.
- Conduct kinematic and dynamic analyses to inform the design process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including industrial designers, electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing specialists to ensure successful integration of interior mechanisms.
- Define product requirements, develop specifications, and create test plans to guarantee product reliability and robustness.
- Build prototypes of new interior mechanisms and conduct functional testing under various conditions.
- Take ownership of the product development cycle from concept to production, ensuring end-to-end success.
- Work closely with testing teams to assess the performance, haptics, ergonomics, and durability of mechanisms.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance with design specifications during the production of interior components.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving design or production challenges.
- Stay current with industry trends, innovations, and technological advancements in automotive interior design and mechanism development.
