**MUST have a valid VIRGINIA Driver's License**
Job Summary:
As a Cemetery Caretaker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the grounds and headstones of the cemetery. This position requires dedication, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, even during the winter months. You will work closely with the Cemetery Manager or Supervisor, following their instructions to ensure the cemetery remains a respectful and well-kept environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions to maintain State cemetery grounds.
- Follow instructions from the Cemetery Manager or Supervisor.
- Perform landscaping, groundskeeping, and related trades duties using hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
- Safely operate machinery and equipment used in cemetery caretaking practices.
Qualifications:
- Experience in ground and building services work.
- Experience in power tools and various types of lawn equipment.
- Experience in the maintenance of various pieces of equipment, to include tractors, trucks, and light equipment.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
- Must possess a valid Virginia driver's license.
- Background/security investigation will be conducted.
- Designated and/or random drug testing may be required.
