Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our client's team, focusing on the implementation and optimization of cloud infrastructure for mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cloud services (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes) and architecture, ensuring that all solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with the needs of the DoD.
Experience with DevSecOps practices is highly desired, as the candidate will play a key role in ensuring security throughout the development lifecycle, particularly in cloud deployments. Familiarity with DoD Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) and compliance with stringent security requirements will be critical. The Cloud Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure system effectiveness, availability, and compliance with DoD standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS and Azure for mission-critical DoD systems.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker to support scalable and resilient architectures.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement of cloud environments.
- Provide leadership in cloud architecture design, ensuring scalability, performance, cost optimization, and alignment with DoD compliance frameworks.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices, using tools like Terraform , CloudFormation , or ARM templates .
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all infrastructure complies with DoD Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) , STIGs , and FedRAMP guidelines.
- Continuously monitor cloud environments for security, performance, and cost optimization.
- Provide expertise in securing workloads using cloud-native tools and implementing principles such as Zero Trust Architecture .
