We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer Estimator to join our dynamic team at The Middlesex Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the preparation of pre-bid schedules, contacting, comparing, and selecting appropriate subcontractors and vendors.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage the estimating team to deliver accurate and timely estimates.
- Prepare and review pre-bid schedules to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
- Collaborate with the budgeting, purchasing, and cost functions to ensure project goals are met.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a construction-related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of field construction experience.
- Minimum of 3 years as a full-time Road/Bridge/Marine estimator.
- Excellent computer skills and Heavy bid estimating software knowledge.
- Experience with computerized takeoff and/or design programs.
