Position Summary :
A concrete finisher is required to perform a variety of tasks including placing, finishing, protecting and repairing concrete.
Responsibilities :
- Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near-misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value - Safety first, in everything we do.
- Operates a screed to level freshly placed concrete according to grade and depth specification.
- Smooth concrete surface using either a hand trowel, long handled "bull float" or powered float.
- Cut joints / grooves in concrete with edging tools to help control cracking.
- Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
- Monitor the wind, heat and cold as it affects the curing of the concrete.
