What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Lead position at The Midnight Gem?
Hello! We are looking for employees to join our growing team. We are a new wedding & event center located right in the middle of Cedar Rapids and Iowa City. We had over 70 events booked for 2024 and are booking out our 2025 schedule. We are looking for help to service all of our amazing couples and clients! We are in search of a few different employees who can help work our events. If you are looking to learn more about weddings & event planning, wedding & event coordination or just looking to work for a new and growing company please reach out! These positions will work directly under our owners venue managers, with room to grow into bigger roles as our business takes on new opportunities in the area.

Event lead (part time)-
- Availability to work weekends (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
- Work 8-10 hour shifts
- Knowledgeable on all wedding content specific for that day
- Wedding day lead- go to person for all venue related questions from vendors and clients
- Prepping & monitoring the space on wedding day- bathrooms, taking out the trash, getting ready suites, grand hall, kitchen, bar supplies, outdoor areas, etc.
- Attendance of team meetings (as needed)
- Ability to do moderate to heavy lifting on occasions (tables, chairs, trash, bar items)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
