Our racing client is seeking a CCTV Surveillance Analyst to work a part-time role on the weekends at $20 / hour (W2).
SUMMARY
Monitors all areas of the racetrack facilities to detect crimes or disturbances, using closed circuit television monitors. Assures a high standard of integrity and honesty in all track operations and related support services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Monitors property and closely observes employees and customers to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and internal controls.
- Answers and initiates telephone calls concerning operations and inquiries for assistance.
- Monitors radio traffic for situations that may require surveillance intervention or action.
- Operates surveillance-related equipment and reports malfunctions or necessary repairs to supervisory staff.
- Assists Management and the Security Operations with surveillance operations plans to prevent theft, loss, or integrity of gaming.
- Generates reports, documents, and videos concerning observed incidents and discrepancies. Maintains records and logs for documentation purposes.
- Keeps up-to-date files on Racing Commission hearings, stable employee incidents, ejected patrons, and other matters related to or involving security.
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be computer literate in major computer programs and have sound video monitoring techniques. Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality and multi-task. Keen observation skills and the ability to document and record from multiple sites / camera views.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Effective oral and written communication skills a necessity in dealing with a wide variety of people including customers, management, racing officials, and co-workers. Ability to write, compile, and present routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving varying situations in a calm but assertive manner.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must obtain a Maryland Racing Commission License
