What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist/Office Assistant position at The Midtown Group?
One of our federal clients is looking for an accomplished receptionist / office assistant to join their office for at least a year-long contract. This role would be responsible for maintaining the reception area of a professional / legal office while answering and appropriately handling telephone calls and visitors. This role will interview and hire ASAP!
Duties :
- The candidate will maintain the reception area in a clean and orderly manner denoting a professional law office appearance.
- The candidate will handle a large volume of telephone calls, emails, and faxes and will be required to answer phone calls promptly and to take complete and accurate messages.
- The candidate will greet visitors promptly and professionally.
- The candidate will be required to control access to the inner office by reviewing identification of visitors, logging in and issuing visitor badges, and referring visitors to appropriate staff.
- The candidate will receive and process mail and priority packages in a timely manner to include sorting incoming mail, distributing mail, and processing outgoing mail.
- The candidate will receive incoming documents / files and provide appropriate documents / files to authorized recipients insuring required documentation has been received. Ensures accountability for documents / files
