Our federal client is hiring a Graphic Designer in Baton Rouge. This is a federal position : You MUST be a US Citizen / Green Card holder to be eligible. We CANNOT accept C2C candidates at this time. You must be located within reasonable driving distance of Baton Rouge in order to be considered.The scope of the proposed services will include the following :
- Meet with State staff to determine the scope of a project;
- Advise State on strategies to reach a particular audience;
- Determine the message the design should portray;
- Create images that identify a product or convey a message;
- Develop graphics for logos and websites;
- Select colors, images, text style, and layout;
- Present the design to State;
- Incorporate changes recommended by the State into the final design;
- Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them;
- Ensure that coding standards are met; optimizing the web architectures for navigability and accessibility;
- Utilize specialized graphic design software to prepare designs;Expertise and / or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory :
- Bachelor's degree
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, analytical skills, and familiarity with a range of computer software
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
- Strong Excel skills required, including data modeling and ad hoc analysis
- Available to work from Baton Rouge, LA on a regular basisExpertise and / or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory :
- Ability to discern key themes within large, complex datasets
- Application of specialized skills within a government agency environment
- Skilled in project design and management
- Capability with PowerBi and PowerAutomate
