Position : Teaching Assistant (4 positions) Location : Stacy Middle School Schedule : 2024-2025 School Year - Hours 7 : 45 - 2 : 15 Salary : Per Contract To Start : March 2025 Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree preferred;
- Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement preferred;
- Experience working with students with and without disabilities;
- Demonstrate the ability to assist in the inclusion and / or Special Education classroom;
- Experience working with English Language Learners
- Bilingual preferred
- CPI training preferred Responsibilities :
- Work under the supervision of building administration, Special Education teachers, and classroom teachers;
- Assist small groups and / or individual students with progress toward academic, social-emotional, and / or behavioral goals within the classroom, with guidance provided by the teacher;
- Communicate and collaborate with teachers;
- Provide direct instruction in an inclusion classroom or small group setting;
- Ability to modify curriculum;
- Maintain confidential information;
- Collect data on student performance as needed;
- Assist students with daily living / self-help skills;
- Attend and participate in training opportunities as directed; and
- Perform supervisory duties, as assigned by school administration.
