Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Mobile Market Lead to join our team. This position plays a key role in delivering our products and brand experience to customers beyond our brick-and-mortar market. The ideal candidate is outgoing, organized, and capable of working independently in dynamic, customer-facing environments.
As a Mobile Market Lead, you will be responsible for transporting, setting up, operating, and breaking down the mobile market at various locations. You will represent The Mill brand, provide excellent customer service, and work closely with the leadership team and production chef to plan and execute each activation.
Key Responsibilities:
Mobile Market Lead:
- Transport and operate the mobile market at public and private events, farmer’s markets, pop-ups, and off-site activations
- Drive the mobile market vehicle safely to and from each location, adhering to local driving laws and company procedures
- Load and unload market inventory from the downtown kitchen or storage location
- Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing product display
- Greet customers warmly, answer product questions, and offer recommendations
- Operate the point-of-sale system to process orders and manage transactions accurately
- Communicate with the leadership team about event scheduling, supply needs, and customer feedback
- Collaborate with the production team on event-specific menus and product pars
- Track inventory and report post-event sales and restocking needs
- Promote The Mill’s values and story while engaging with the community
- Maintain regular attendance and meet operating standards for quality, cleanliness, and customer service
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or retail sales preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly self-motivated, responsible, and comfortable working independently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (experience driving vans or small trucks a plus)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays
Work Hours:
This part-time position requires 20–35 hours per week, with hours scheduled around mobile market events and activations.
Compensation:
$17.50/hr tips
