Position Overview:
The Philanthropic Advisor Associate, Tier 4-5, will actively engage with experienced Philanthropic Advisors to guide and support existing and prospective donor, along with their wealth advisors, in establishing charitable funds, directing grants to nonprofit organizations, and making impactful contributions. This role also fosters meaningful connections by facilitating strategic engagement between donors and the people, programs, and organizations that align with their philanthropic vision.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Partner with Philanthropic Advisors to deliver high-quality donor experiences by:
· Supporting the Philanthropic Advisors in the development of strategy, engagement plans and activities for supporting a diverse portfolio of current donors to achieve their philanthropic goals and community impact.
· Anticipating donor needs while preparing for and participating in donor meetings as requested.
· Responding to routine donor inquiries and requests related to fund administration, grantmaking and donor portal access and track contacts in database.
· Educating, informing, and communicating with donors about Minneapolis Foundation initiatives and funding opportunities, promoting philanthropy and inviting them to build their funds and co-invest in shared interest areas.
· Assisting with regular data review and cleanup to maintain overall data integrity.
· Assisting with coordination and administrative activities for donor events, meetings and special projects.
· Maintaining knowledge of advised grant administration best practices.
· Managing administration and data entry related to fund records,
including maintaining fund files via electronic document management systems.
· Operating with continuous improvement mindset, identifying areas for increasing donor engagement, process/product standardization/streamlining and work with key individuals from all departments to ensure integration of all functions as necessary.
· Remaining aware of charitable options and trends in the field of philanthropy and the implications for the Minneapolis Foundation and its donors

· Provide administrative backup for Philanthropic Advisor, Tier 4-5
· Document all external interactions in enterprise database and conduct analysis to identify trends and opportunities to grow business and drive community impact and change.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of TMF’s programs and priorities.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential
Qualifications for Success
· Three to six years of experience working with high-net-worth individuals and families, preferably in a philanthropic context, or a related field.
· Strong customer service and organizational skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
· Demonstrated ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and navigate change.
· Strong business technology skills, including the ability to operate business machines and adeptness with a number of computer software applications including MS Office products and Salesforce (CRM).
· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly and effectively.
· Practiced ability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
· Work successfully with diverse individuals with a variety of work and communication styles, both internally and externally.

Working Conditions:
Most of the work in this position is performed in a general office setting and the successful candidate must be able to work at a PC for extended periods of time. We are a hybrid organization typically working 2 days a week in the office.
