Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves performing various tasks related to lawn care, tree care, and general landscape upkeep. The Landscape Technician will utilize both hand and power tools to ensure that our clients' outdoor spaces are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various landscaping projects.
- Dig, plant, and maintain trees, shrubs, and other plants as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of landscapes to identify areas needing attention or improvement.
- Assist in the installation of new landscape features such as flower beds, pathways, and irrigation systems.
- Maintain equipment in good working condition through regular cleaning and basic mechanical knowledge.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards while operating equipment and performing tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools commonly used in landscaping.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Ability to dig, lift, and carry materials as required for landscaping tasks.
- Knowledge of lawn care techniques including fertilization, pest control, and irrigation practices.
- Familiarity with tree care practices is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
